Trifork takes over the activities of Marstrand Innovation A/S

Copenhagen, May 15, 2024 – The NextGen IT company Trifork has taken over the activities of the software company Marstrand Innovation and thereby the company’s planning platform Marstrand Planning Intelligence (MPI).

MPI is a complete and configurable platform for planning, optimizing, and executing management tasks in larger private and public enterprises. MPI integrates project, resource, service, portfolio, and budget management in conjunction with all types of ERP systems, including SAP and Microsoft, thus becoming a significant addition to Trifork’s portfolio.

“We see great opportunities for MPI to add value to many of our existing customers, and at the same time, we also see potential for MPI to help open new doors. MPI is a very strong platform that we will continue to develop and expand, especially in the field of web and cloud-based solutions,” says Søren Vive, Director at Trifork Smart Enterprise.

Marstrand Innovation’s customers will continue using MPI unaffected but now have access to significantly larger development capacity through Trifork. Trifork’s acquisition of Marstrand Innovation’s activities is part of a generational change, and Nils Marstrand, founder and CEO of Marstrand Innovation, believes that Trifork is the perfect partner to continue and exploit the great potential of the MPI platform.

“It has been imperative for me to find a solution that both customers and employees would be happy with, and not least to find the best development and growth conditions for my life’s work, MPI. I am confident that all three wishes have been fulfilled in the agreement with Trifork,” says Nils Marstrand.

MPI is currently used by customers in Denmark and abroad and is based on technology that can be easily and quickly configured to the specific needs of each customer regardless of industry and location. MPI is based on a ground-breaking four-dimensional architecture with the possibility for optimization and simulation of customers’ performance. Among other things, the management of bottlenecks, lead times, economy, and processes. Customers in Denmark include ABB, SDC, Disa Industries, and Aarhus Vand.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
